Responsibilities:- Perform multiple operational roles such as tour guiding, ticketing and other assigned duties.
Requirements:- Candidate must possess at least GCE 'O'/ 'A'/Diploma with at least 1 year of working experience, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Experience in Retail/Ticketing/Tour Guiding will be an added advantage. Good communication skills and customer service oriented.

Discovery Green
The joyful sounds of children playing and the chatter of adults are commonly heard at the Discovery Green. With a generous floor area, it offers an ideal open space for large events. As the name suggests, the green is surrounded by lush landscaped gardens and is a great place to hold exciting games, matches, competitions and the like.
Concourse
The concourse area provides another outdoor location for holding events, and is apt for outdoor parties and gatherings.
Band Stand
An open-air platform by the lake, the band stand is a perfect getaway from the buzz of city life. Enjoy the cool gentle breeze as you enjoy your occasion by the lakefront.
On a cheerful afternoon, you can also pedal your way across the lake in twin or quad-sharing pedal boats.
SDC Lake
A favourite hobby for many, fishing may be done at the lake during special events. A picture of serenity, the lake is conveniently situated outside the centre.
Besides fishing, the tranquil lake is also perfect for leisure or competitive pedal-boating.

This programme offers pre-enlistees an overview of Basic Military Training; a compulsory component shared by all enlistees whether they are deployed to the SAF, SPF or SCDF. Through a variety of activities and experiences, the programme prepares male students psychologically for the National Service. It also gives female students an experience from which they can better empathise with their male counterparts.
In the Army Days programme, students will undergo three sections:
- An overview of NS in the Army Museum.
- A hands–on session on army personal equipment, SAR 21 rifle shooting stimulation, concealment and the standard obstacle course.
- A simple exhibition of combat rations, field craft and a bus tour of SAFTI.
Through these events, students will gain a better understanding of basic military training in the SAF and their roles in Total Defence.
Learning Objectives- Participants will be able to state how they can contribute to the defence of Singapore.
- Participants will be able to state at least three activities that NS-Full time servicemen engage in during their Basic Military Training in the Armed Forces.
NE Ambassadors
The NE Youth Ambassador Programme is a hands-on, minds-on experience designed specially for school students. It aims to nurture student leaders to understand the Singapore Story and then, engage their peers. In order to achieve this, we encourage students to complete the entire NE Ambassador Series and achieve the Gold Award.

This programme follows the bronze badge of the NE Ambassadors training. WE ARE TD DEFENDERS!!In commemoration of 30 years of Total Defence (TD) in Singapore, S'pore Discovery Centre (SDC) presents We Are TD Defenders!! This 3-hour exciting and hands-on learning programme is specially developed for Primary and Secondary School students. The programme complements SDC's Total Defence Day (TDD) 2014 Special Exhibition
"ON GUARD".
Students will be 'enlisted' as TD Defenders to complete an important mission. As TD Defenders, they will have to strategise, search for clues and exercise teamwork to complete the hands-on activities as well as answer specific questions at 5 zones which represent the 5 pillars of Total Defence.
Students will be able to gain insights and appreciate the importance of Total Defence and how they can play a part.
Exclusive TDD 2014 souvenirs:- TD Men Badge: Every student who attends the programme will receive a TD Men Badge.
- TD Men Tags: Students will be awarded a TD Men tag (specific to a pillar of TD) at each zone upon completion of the activities. 5 tags will be available for collection.
- TD Men Lanyard: Limited edition TD Men lanyards will be awarded to students who have successfully completed the activities in the 5 zones.
HIGHLIGHTS:- Students from the Uniformed Groups who participate in the TDD 2014 Programme will be eligible for the Total Defence Silver Badge upon completion.
