In commemoration of 30 years of Total Defence (TD) in Singapore, S'pore Discovery Centre (SDC) presents
We Are TD Defenders!! This 3-hour exciting and hands-on learning programme is specially developed for Primary and Secondary School students. The programme complements SDC's
Total Defence Day (TDD) 2014 Special Exhibition
"ON GUARD".
Students will be 'enlisted' as TD Defenders to complete an important mission. As TD Defenders, they will have to strategise, search for clues and exercise teamwork to complete the hands-on activities as well as answer specific questions at 5 zones which represent the 5 pillars of Total Defence.
Students will be able to gain insights and appreciate the importance of Total Defence and how they can play a part.
Exclusive TDD 2014 souvenirs:
- TD Men Badge: Every student who attends the programme will receive a TD Men Badge.
- TD Men Tags: Students will be awarded a TD Men tag (specific to a pillar of TD) at each zone upon completion of the activities. 5 tags will be available for collection.
- TD Men Lanyard: Limited edition TD Men lanyards will be awarded to students who have successfully completed the activities in the 5 zones.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Students from the Uniformed Groups who participate in the TDD 2014 Programme will be eligible for the Total Defence Silver Badge upon completion.
- Schools that sign up the programme with a minimum of 300 students will get a complimentary 2-way bus transfer service (subject to availability).
